ITINERARY

Goriška Brda - Lokvica

Start your pedaling surrounded by vineyards and cherry trees. Only the second day of your tour and you will already have the opportunity to visit another country! After you make your way through Italy, you will finish in Lokvica, a tranquil village surrounded by lush greenery and offering a glimpse into the region's rich history and natural beauty.

Lokvica - Štanjel

As you enter the Kras region, one of your first stops will be Štanjel, a beautiful medieval village known for its stunning architecture. Take a break here and visit the local wine cellar, where you can sample Teran, a red wine made from the indigenous Refosco grape variety. Teran is known for its vibrant acidity and rich flavors, making it a perfect accompaniment to the local cuisine.

Goriška Brda

Your starting point will be Goriška Brda, a captivating wine region in western Slovenia, known for its rolling hills, vineyards, and picturesque villages. Štanjel - Lipica

As you pedal across the Karst Plateau, you'll be mesmerized by the unique landscape characterized by limestone rocks, sinkholes, and underground caves. Take a break from cycling and venture into the Škocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After your subterranean adventure, visit a nearby winery to taste some refreshing Rebula (Ribolla Gialla) wine, a white varietal widely grown in the region.
